WESTERN UNDERGRADUTE EXCHANGE

The Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education is the clearinghouse for information on the Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE), a program in which New Mexico students can receive a reduced rate of tuition at colleges in 13 western states. Navigate to “Student Exchanges” and “Western Undergraduate Exchange” for information about which schools participate. Criteria and application deadlines vary though many institutions require an early application.

The National Student Exchange allows you to study at a different college or university for a semester or year, earn full credit and still graduate from your “home” college or university. Many students who decide to stay in-state for college (at UNM, NMT, etc.) pursue a National Student Exchange program at some point during their four-year studies.
